I am not a huge fan of shared ownerships, however i can see why peopleare attracted to them. The lure of buying a home with a very small deposit may seem appealing, but the rent that needs to be paid is just dead money on top of the interest you are paying to your lender for a mortgage. The major problem i normally see is the lack of people wanting shared ownership, which completely restricts your market when selling the property. Although it is a great way to get on the ladder, if you can afford to do it without it, i would highly recommend it
