Not for myself, but I would thoroughly encourage getting into contact with Doni Hoti at Adclear: https://www.linkedin.com/in/doni-hoti-45026619a/

They are building AI financial promotions and compliance technology to speed up the compliance process and are currently being used by major financial institutions.

They are young, have raised money and are actually producing the goods.

I’m Dom Carter, Founder & CEO of Serotonin — a Manchester-based performance marketing agency helping ambitious British and international brands grow through paid media, strategy and creative.

We work across eCommerce, sport, property, fashion and lifestyle, partnering with brands like ASSOS, British Cycling and Legal & General to drive measurable commercial results. I built Serotonin from the ground up in 2019, navigating growth, failure, acquisitions and scale — with a focus on people, discipline and doing the fundamentals exceptionally well. Happy to share the honest story behind building a modern British agency.

I founded Hortons to change how estate agency works in the UK.

We are an estate agency brokerage platform, similar to the US-style model where agents are self-employed and keep the majority of their commission.

We were one of the first brokerages to establish this model in the UK in 2016, and we’re now seeing a major shift across the industry as more agents move from employed roles to self-employment.

I originally founded the business, as a more traditional agency, in 2013 when I was 20, and have been a lifelong entrepreneur. Hortons was built out of a passion for entrepreneurship and a desire to empower agents to take control of their careers, back themselves, and build successful businesses with the right support behind them.

I’m Racheal Straughan, founder of Mayfli and Market Collective CIC. My work focuses on supporting small, independent businesses and protecting the future of our high streets.

During Covid, I lost my business overnight when a corporate marketplace closed my shops without a conversation, instantly removing my income. That experience exposed how fragile small businesses are when they’re dependent on platforms that prioritise profit over people.

Mayfli was built directly from that lived experience – to give makers, traders and small businesses a fair, affordable alternative that puts independence first. Market Collective CIC was created to support communities and high street businesses more widely, working with local partners to strengthen local economies and keep skills, trade and choice alive.

This work is rooted in real experience. My aim is to help independent businesses survive, grow and remain at the heart of our communities.

I’d love to be considered for Entrepreneur of the Week. I’m the founder of Domestic Angels, we help people in their homes. I became an entrepreneur by accident after being made redundant, entirely unintentional. Over time, I built the model, the standards, the systems and the culture. Through collaboration with Bournemouth University, I later converted the business into a franchise model so more people could become business owners. And yes, I designed our in-house tech along the way too. And a further yes, it's all my own, no investors here.

We are unapologetically female-led and female-driven, supporting mums in particular to get back to work, build their own businesses and keep their sanity. We’re deeply passionate about what we do, so it’s no surprise that my team and I actively engage with and lobby Westminster on legislation affecting SMEs, franchising and the people doing the real work in local communities.

My entrepreneurship didn't start in a garage; it started in the boardrooms of the UK’s corporate giants. For 10 years, I watched FTSE 100 companies burn millions on "automation theatre", shiny Data and AI projects that dazzled executives but failed the people actually doing the work.

I walked away from that corporate safety to build Pattrn Data from the ground up. I saw that while big players wasted cash on hype, the engine of the British economy, accountants, advisers, and legal firms, was being left behind, drowning in data drudgery.

My success isn't built on VC handouts. It’s built on listening to the people the tech industry ignores: the staff on the shop floor. They taught me that technology shouldn't replace humans; it should give them superpowers.

We champion "Augmented Intelligence", practical, unglamorous data plumbing that fixes broken systems so British professionals can stop fighting spreadsheets and get back to business.
