Last year, I switched to New Leaf, and it's been a positive move even with the current market conditions. Unlike other networks that restrict areas of advice, New Leaf motivates us to broaden our expertise and provides in-house training to support this expansion. In addition, the leadership team are only a phone call away if you need anything. Thanks to their support, we've expanded our services to include advice on pensions and investments, allowing us to provide even more comprehensive assistance to our existing clients.

The Openwork Partnership is our chosen network, they've won multiple awards over the years, and you can see why. They are incredibly supportive of their AR partners and work with us to make it easy to focus on delivering for our clients. The Business School is a standout, the range and depth of learning on offer are fantastic and a real benefit to any practice. With the advent of Consumer Duty this year I was certainly glad to have the guidance in place from Openwork regarding what I needed to do to ensure I evolved the business to accommodate that change. It's not all sunshine though; the rollout of ConcertHub, our new CRM and submission platform, continues to frustrate some of the advisers in the network (but when did any new IT system get one day praise from all users?). However, overall, I'm pleased that we chose Openwork to partner with and feel confident going into 2024.

We are very lucky with our network, they are supportive and focused on solutions. There have been frustrations on both sides for sure as they keep us on the straight and narrow. But, with key contacts within the network, there is help on hand.

A key area we hope to a few improvements is the system intensity and requirement for manual intervention versus the technology capacity available.

With supportive CPD training, an academy for new starters and a focus on rewarding the growth and capabilities of the team, it has been a positive end to 2023 for sure. We look forward to seeing what 2024 brings to the table.
