Our best lender for February was Accord, some fantastic offer turnarounds, affordabilities and headline rates!

We as a team are unable to choose one. But our top two were Accord and West Brom. Both of these lenders excelled at fast underwriting, great communication from the processing teams and competitive rates. The main thing we found was a "can do" attitude from both with underwriters calling and wanting to work with us to get the case approved - rather than the computer says no approach some lenders are still running with. In today's complex market - having an underwriter that will pick up the phone makes all the difference to brokers.

Definitely getting a good feeling from Accord Mortgages, an intermediary only lender. Their investment in technology and commonsense thinking is making a BIG difference in the troublesome 2023 mortgage market.

NatWest has proved to be an exceptional lender, exceeding the expectations of brokers in their current operations. They have exhibited remarkable efficiency in evaluating applications, surpassing their stated service levels on their website. Recently, our firm submitted an application on a Sunday evening, and to our surprise, it was promptly acknowledged the next day, with the underwriter requesting additional information. On Tuesday, we were able to provide the required information, and within one day, on Wednesday, the mortgage was offered. The turnaround time was impressive, and we were spared the need to follow up with the lender for updates.

We have some weird and wonderful come to us and due to our packaging and quality of work, a lot of lenders will bend their rules to help out, but there is only so far they can go. I would flag Kent Reliance, Stafford Railway Building Society and United Trust Bank for being able to flex that little bit more. They have been able to house people that no one else can.
