LinkedIn without a doubt is a sales and service platform from which a plethera of complete twats approach you like you're a complete retard, needing their services. Entrepreneur, whether "serial", "disruptive" or "visionary" are usually self-congratulatory f***tards trying to charge fortunes for applying their shit ideas to your business. Brand Champion or "warriors" are also f***ing annoying as are the "Thought Leaders". Then there's the "Rockstars", "Evangelists" and "Gurus". Need I say more?

Britain, the land of Shakespeare, tea, and now the “Beverage Application Technologist” (Barista). It appears we’ve reached peak absurdity with job titles in 2024. Imagine telling your mum you’ve landed a prestigious position as a "Sandwich Artist"—and no, it’s not an avant-garde gallery exhibit but a role at Subway crafting BLTs with artistic flair. Also, consider the "Party Chief", a title that screams disco but is instead bestowed upon a land surveyor trudging through muddy construction sites. That said, the Tech Industry takes the cake, of course, with Developer Evangelists preaching the gospel of software and Python Developers slaying software serpents (spoiler: no snakes involved). The moral? Well, Britain’s job titles may bewilder, but they never fail to entertain. Who needs a dull “Manager” when you can be a "Listening Lead" instead?

"Scrum Master" has always triggered me. Aside from making no sense at all, it, for me, epitomizes the toxic macho culture that still persists in banking and finance.

This will divide people I know in my own sector, especially the ones with this as their job title, but ‘growth marketing’ and ‘growth hacking’ annoy me so much. What kind of marketing doesn’t have the objectives of improving customer acquisition, retention, and revenue based on analysis of numbers? And anything that’s described as a ‘hack’ is either just a description of how to do something dressed up as a ‘hack’, or is poor advice destined to have a poor quality outcome.

Actually, my job title is 'Deputy Queen Bee' - not sure whether people find this annoying or not but I like it! Perhaps we have customers throwing their PCs out of the window all over the UK

My daughter, Neve, got the bees for her 10th Birthday so she's always been the 'Queen Bee'. Despite leaving the business to train to be an accountant, I'm still very much the deputy - so the title kind of stuck!

One of Neve's Bees missions is to bring enjoyment to our customers and our team - we think our job titles bring a smile - and I dislike all the heirachy associated with 'executive titles' - as Deputy Queen Bee nobody knows whether I'm CEO or Chief Tea Maker - and I'm good with that

The rest of our team is Nikki (our Designer Bee), Nicola (Marketing Bee) Roger (our ITB) and Ross - Head Drone (and Neve, our 'Queen Bee' who's having a hiatus in 'corporate land'). All help bring our Neve's Bees Natural Skincare products to our customers all over the UK.

The most annoying one in my sector is 'sustainability piece'. I tell people about my business for them to come back with 'ah I love the whole sustainability piece'. Adding piece to anything makes it sound like a gimmick. Sustainable products are not a 'piece' to me they're a non negotiable and at the heart of why I started my business. Annoying as hell and I will point it out to everyone I hear using it!!
