Do lenders tap into broker intel enough?
Dutch-style lender, April Mortgages, is on the Newspage Mortgage News Desk, getting feedback from brokers in real time, seeing what they’re talking about and asking them Qs in an informal environment, most recently on the proc fees it should pay brokers and how to structure them. In your opinion, do lenders do enough to tap brokers for feedback and intel? Do questionnaires go far enough or do you think they are a token gesture? What other tools or platforms do you use to provide feedback to lenders? Is brokers and lenders collaborating better for consumer outcomes and, if so, what lenders are leading the charge on this front? Should products be created in Ivory Towers or would collaboration with those speaking with borrowers 24/7 make a difference?
