BBC Online - Do you need a degree to work in tech?
A BBC Online journalist is writing an article for BBC's Technology of Business site, about whether you need a degree to work in tech.
He's looking for interviewees for this article and is interested in hearing from:
- A recruitment consultant with expertise in tech who can talk about degrees and alternative pathways into tech, such as bootcamps. I'd also be interested in comments about whether there limitations on how high you can climb up the ladder without a degree.
- Tech companies that can comment on their hiring practices for entry-level positions, and any differences they see in candidates coming through the degree/non-degree route if they use both. I'd also be interested in hearing about graduate or apprenticeship programmes.
- Someone who is working in tech but does not have a degree, who can talk about their path into tech.
