MPowered and Newspage Budget Live

ended 07. March 2024

Looking for a couple of mortgage brokers who are available to join AMI chair Andrew Montlake and MPowered this Thursday (7th March) at 11am on the next LinkedIn Mortgage News Live, in association with Newspage and The Intermediary. The focus will be whatever's announced in tomorrow's Budget that could impact the mortgage and property markets, and a general round-up of the latest mortgage news. If you're available at 11am on Thu for 45 minutes and would like to put your hand up, just reply to this news alert and say so. If you can't do this Thursday, but would be up for a future Live, say that, too. We'll be in touch in due course.

Appreciate I’m not a broker but I speak to lots of brokers and agents every day whilst also having my own views based on our exposure as a top 100 resi conveyancing firm.

I can’t do next Thursday but would love to take part in a future live event please.

My view on the CGT announcement yesterday is that it was a bit of a red herring. They said reducing the rate of CGT paid will bring more stock to the market however more stock will be coming to the market anyway as landlords and second home owners sell because their new, more expensive, mortgage rate takes effect and the investment no longer stacks up, especially when you can get 4.5% on your capital in a cash account
