Brokers - what are your clients confused about?
Morning brokers!
There's some research out this week about the homebuying process, and how little people know about it before they go through it for the first time.
For example, only a third said they understood the process before going through it the first time, while significant numbers said they were completely in the dark about aspects like arranging a solicitor/surveyor, getting a mortgage in principle, exchanging contracts, and completing the purchase.
How does this chime with your own experiences? What are the aspects of buying a home that are most likely to take your clients by surprise? And what role can brokers play in educating clients about the process, so that these knowledge gaps don't end up putting a transaction at risk?
All thoughts very welcome!
