As a Chartered Wealth Manager I have enjoyed a varied career working with some of the largest brands in the UK financial advice industry. Not your typical financial services type! A specialist working with the legal sector. The non-lawyer co-owner of a boutique national law firm. A career coach and mentor I have had the privilege of working with a number of very successful employed and self-employed individuals. My skillset is in identifying skills in others and helping them to use these for success. I'm a family man and this motivates everything I do and love working with like minded individuals. Work should never come at the cost of family, life is too short! I am a passionate believer in flexible working and the benefits that can bring, especially in enabling working parents balance successful careers and family life. Over the years I have worked with those up to and including board level. I have seen what works and doesn't work for businesses ranging in size from one person self-employed practices to large national organisations. I have coached and developed brand new trainees up to experienced MD's. I am known in financial services as a problem solver and self confessed geek. I have expertise in most financial planning areas but particularly complex pensions and Trust arrangements. I was a member of the CISI technical panel for their PCIAM exam for a number of years. Outside the day job I regularly present to state schools about careers and am an Academy Chair for one of the largest secondary schools in the country.
