She is part of F:entrepreneurs #ialso1002022 and is giving her first TedX talk in April 2022.

A disabled designers' hotly anticipated debut London Fashion Week runway show is happening Friday 17th February- with a cast of over 30 models across age, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, size and most importantly- ability- this is a pioneering moment for brand Unhidden, the first (and so far only) adaptive focused brand to become a member of the British Fashion Council. The front row will include Mindy Scheier, founder of Runway of Dreams who is coming from New York to see her son Oliver take part; Unhidden was the first international brand to show at Runway of Dreams in September 2022. Major fashion faces, media and disabled content creators will also be watching; hosted at Kurt Geigers' showroom in Farringdon, this is set to be a powerful display of true diversity. &nbsp;<blockquote>Disability and fashion have been separated for far too long- it's more than representation on a runway, it's reflecting our real society. One in five people is not niche and we deserve equity in self expression.</blockquote>

Disabled models storming the runway

On Friday 22nd April Victoria took to the red dot on stage at the Brighton Dome to deliver a TedX talk about the history of ableism and why it is all of our duty to include adaptive and universal design in business and in life.<blockquote>Sitting on that red dot and telling 1200 people that disabled is not a bad word and how I fight ableism using fashion was one hell of a milestone in a pretty unique life story! Seeing the immediate impact on the audience was also a reminder of the power of the disabled community being seen and heard.</blockquote>

Talking adaptive fashion at TedX!

BBC2 aired a fantastic documentary on Monday 21st March; covering the Disability rights movement of the 90's in London, called 'Then Barbara Met Alan'. It was powerful, it showed disability in all the lights it should always be shown in- sex, love, family, friends, activism, comedy... Everywhere non disabled people are seen. It's one in 5 of us- we are not niche! The critique?&nbsp; It was only an hour long, and not on BBC1.. If we compare it to the incredibly brilliant 'It's a sin' that spanned a similar number of years but over a 6 episode series, you can see why the disabled community is thirsting for more! Too long our stories have been hidden, suppressed and our rights devalued. This documentary is set in 1990- it's not even been that long for us that we have had some basic protection when it comes to discrimination and as I can personally attest- I am still discriminated against. I have many insights I can share and a wide network of others who also deserve to be heard and seen.<blockquote>Diversity includes disability- we need to see more than what we have been getting in the media. We will not be hidden any longer.</blockquote>

My only critique of Then Barbara Met Alan as a disabled  person.

On February 20th, 2022 Unhidden will make fashion history. As the first disabled owned, universally designed fashion brand to become a member of the British Fashion Council, this is the first time the brand has appeared on the official London Fashion Week Schedule- the first time ANY brand like this has done a solo event 'officially'. With a sold out crowd and some fantastic sponsors, this is a big step towards equity for the disabled community as well as the growing number of adaptive designers within the UK.<blockquote>For too long the fashion industry has neglected the worlds largest marginalised group and the very real need for universally designed fashion that is stylish, durable and fit for purpose. This is an exciting step forwards for not just Unhidden, but adaptive designers around the world.</blockquote>
