I completed my Fine art degree in Leeds and then qualified as a teacher. I taught in a high school for 16 years, before setting up Twice fired fused glass studio. This took off quickly and soon became my full time job. We hold workshops in house and other venues, corporate wellbeing days and work with schools. We also make fused glass homeware and supply The National trust and other independent stockists. During lockdown we received no financial support as we were part of the excluded community, so I developed our make at home fused glass kits , which ended up being sold in John lewis as well as other stockists. We have never looked back and continue to sell these through etsy , our own website and independant stockists like curated makers.
