I am Sylvia, a certified TRE® Provider - having trained with Steve Haines (London), Su Thomas (South Africa) and Anya Bloom (Israel). 

My background is in IT and business development, and when I managed a health food shop, I was eventually able to bring my real passion into my career. 

Since then I've trained as a Jikiden Reiki practitioner, and I have a foundation training in Counselling Skills (COSCA).  I am also a Laughter Yoga Leader. 
 
When the pandemic hit I asked myself what the world really needs and re-discovered TRE® - I'm totally fascinated as it's so simple and yet so powerful and I value and treasure the relaxation I can build into my daily life.

Whether the NHS is at breaking point or already broken it's now our turn to give something back. We can (almost) all give the NHS some relief. "Don't ask what the NHS can do for you, ask what you can do for the NHS.And we can (almost) all give the NHS some relief." Many health issues are based on too much tension in the body – symptoms such as:<ul><li>headaches/migraines</li><li>neck/shoulder/back pain</li><li>teeth-grinding</li><li>gastrointestinal issues</li><li>anxiety</li><li>(menopausal) irritability</li><li>anger</li><li>etc.</li></ul> Rather than putting pressure on the NHS or lingering on a long waiting list, let's get pro-active and work on our own health and well-being. &nbsp;As a TRE (Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises) Provider I've experienced myself how to heal my own lower back and hip pain. Now I work with clients who are experiencing any of the above symptoms – or are being diagnosed with MUS (Medically Unexplained Symptoms) – and by teaching, rather than treating, I empower my clients to help themselves. &nbsp;Let's take ownership of our health and well-being by exploring alternative methods of treatment and health. What is TRE? In TRE we encourage the body to safely release tension we are holding. Once this tension is gone, many symptoms can lessen or disappear all-together.And we do this by literally “shaking it off” - shaking is one of the oldest medicines on earth and the body's innate reaction to stress. The NHS needs some (tension) relief

Tourette's is a neurological condition, characterized by involuntary movements and sounds called tics, e.g. blinking, coughing, throat clearing, sniffing, and facial movements.&nbsp; The above is a medical description of Tourette’s.&nbsp; As TRE (Tension Releasing Exercises) Providers (Sylvia Tillmann of Tremendous TRE and Vicki Cook, founder of TRE Scotland) we see Tourette’s as the body wanting to release stress, tension, anxiety and even trauma through these movements. And this is a very innate reaction. We humans, in fact all mammals (dogs do it beautifully), are genetically encoded to deal with stress in such a way, but we have been socialised out of it.&nbsp; Having seen Lewis Capaldi in his documentary and his performance at Glastonbury, we believe his body wants to naturally release his anxiety and stress.&nbsp; A very positive reaction, because when the body makes these movements it helps and heals itself.&nbsp; Sadly, we don't tend to listen to the body anymore and suppress its innate reactions, that could be so helpful, trying instead to keep everything under control. By learning and practising TRE, we can reconnect with our body and heal ourselves in the most natural way.&nbsp; This is NOT woo-woo or New Age-y, but very natural and innate.&nbsp; TRE is still quite niche, although very popular within the Brazilian health service and many people who have been learning and practising TRE, developed by David Berceli, PhD over 20 years ago, see the benefits and understand how our body has this natural, instinctual release mechanism.&nbsp; As a result of reconnecting with the body and allowing this neurogenic release to happen, the nervous system is being regulated and various stress and tension related health issues can be healed, e.g.&nbsp; - tension headaches - back pain - anxiety - irritability etc.&nbsp; &nbsp;<blockquote>Let's see Tourette’s as a helpful reaction and we as TRE Providers would love to teach you how to transform these tics into a natural healing release. Tourette's is your body wanting to release anxiety and stress - A message for Lewis Capaldi  

Paddy Pimblett’s emotional post-fight speech is powerful and emotional. Apparently, many men contacted mental health related organisations for first time over the last 48 hours because of it.<blockquote>It's not 'just' about the talking as ... The Body Keeps the Score, according to Bessel van der Kolk, a psychotherapist who says that we need to include the body. Which is great for anybody who doesn't want to talk - men in particular don't consider counselling as they don't want to talk about feelings etc., but are unaware of alternatives. April is Stress Awareness Month, but seriously, only one month?&nbsp; Aren't we constantly stressed?&nbsp; If the usual mix of exercise, mindfulness and meditation is getting boring, well, here's something new. I'll let you into a secret, we can learn a lot from our dogs – they literally shake off stress and then happily get on with life.&nbsp; And we can do the same.&nbsp;Really?
