Thomas Honour Mortgage Services
Founder and owner of Thomas Honour Mortgage Services, Tom started his career in Financial Services in 2006, where he discovered he had an aptitude for customer service and people management. He worked as a Branch Manager for an Oxford-based building society and shortly afterwards became CeMAP qualified, advised and supervised on mortgages and protection, where his love affair with mortgages began.
A few years after the banking crisis, in 2014, Tom saw an opportunity to move forward his career in mortgage finance and became a self-build mortgage specialist, financing very interesting projects, many of which appeared on Channel 4’s programme, Grand Designs.
He continued to develop his expertise in mortgage lending as Head of Sales in an Oxfordshire-based mortgage brokerage, where he built and managed a successful team.
The birth of his daughter in 2019 acted as a catalyst for Tom’s new business venture, Thomas Honour. Tom’s desire to take care of the baby, who was in poor health, combined with his passion for helping people access better mortgage deals, fuelled his ambition to set up his own mortgage firm.
Today Tom leads a rapidly growing team and his business has been shortlisted for Best Broker at The Mortgage Introducer Awards 2020.
Tom is a real people person, with an inborn talent for leadership. He uses this talent to educate people to make better mortgage and home-buying decisions using Thomas Honour’s social media channels to share his knowledge of the industry.
When he’s not at work, Tom enjoys spending time with his three children, Alfie, Bertie and Winnie, and long-time partner, Samantha at their home in Brackley. He loves his community and is an avid fan of Tottenham Hotspur.
