Will Congestion Charge hikes affect you?

Journalist: Jon Brady, Daily Mail

Hello! Do you have a business in London that uses vehicles? How do you feel about the pending increases to congestion charge and the fact that electric cars and vans will no longer be exempt?

The new regime will see the charge increase to £18 and electric cars and vans included in the charging scheme (with 25% and 50% discounts respectively).

If you have a business in London relying on vehicles - how much is this set to affect you?

We see clients in the capital on a regular basis and the only way to realistic do this is drive. Our railways are creaking at the seems and paying top dollar for a standing room only train from Paddington is not value for money. However, increasing be congestion charge is going to keep people out of London, not drive people on to public transport. If the mayor wants more people to enjoy London, and the great attributes it has, he needs to improve TfL and the connecting routes before increased increases in the congestion charge or further ULEZ schemes will work.
