Sky News - interview businesses about expected interest rate hike

ended 10. May 2023

On Thursday, the Bank of England is expected to hike interest rates again. The focus will likely be on wages and how that plays into inflation.

Sky News would like to speak to businesses, in London ideally, who’d be happy to chat to them about their costs, whether they’re coming down, and the impact of staffing costs. A hospitality business would be a great fit for this.

They'd be looking to pre-record an interview tomorrow afternoon or Thursday morning. If you're interested please respond in this thread or email me at jonny@newspage.media

As professional real estate developers and landlords, we are at the coal face of these wretched strikes with delays in procuring labour and material.

I have very strong views on this and would be happy for sky news to visit our development site in Maidstone. I can walk them through one of our building sites and explain why at the end of the day, a delay as a result of the strikes, in our completing the project will cause unnecessary pain for people who are waiting to move into our properties. This is a completely uncalled for action, and is going to affect those at the bottom of the ladder the most.
