SDLT statistics for latest quarter

The latest quarterly SDLT data is out at 09:30. This dataset is so dull I'm in tears just writing this alert. So no essays this morning. Just send a few lines on what you think the taxman has made out of residential property transactions in the past few months. And add a joke at the bottom for me if you can. The more obscene, the better. I need cheering up.

"Stamp duty is archaic and need to be abolished. It's is one of the barriers many people face when purchasing a new property, but it's a licence to print money for the Government and so I can't see it going anywhere. Bring back the town crier, at least they served a purpose."
