MoneyWeek article: How the Entry Exit Scheme will change your holiday

Hi,

I am looking for comments for an article I am writing on the EU's new entry exit scheme for non-EU nationals (i.e. Brits!).

I am keen for comments on how it works, what should people consider? How much longer will border checks take? How can people prepare? Will it make travel insurance more important?

Kind regards

Marc

When travelling across an external EU border for the first time, British travellers may face slightly longer queues. However, the new EES scheme has been carefully planned, and we’re confident it will run smoothly. It’s a small adjustment that will soon feel routine and help make travel across Europe even more efficient.

Prepare for chaos. This is another example of the not-so-frictionless consequences of the Brexit vote on EU travel. Although things have got off to a good start, the pace has been slow and as soon as the half term holidays hit, mega queues will form at ports and airports across Europe. This will not go well!
