It’s not the event that’s the issue it’s the fact someone’s posted the article thinking it’s acceptable to say it’s a joke or some form of sarcasm. If anything it highlights the stereotype people see within the banking & finance industry!

I was unable to attend but hadn't picked up on the male dominance of the event till the article appeared. From the chats I've had from those that did attend it was just another networking event set in a more exotic location with better weather, food and drink ( lots of it ). Being a B2B event I am not sure how much extra business will be written as a result of the event but many will see it a few days out of the office and a great opportunity to promote on social media. I am sure next year we will see more ladies at the event - looking forward to it
