How likely smaller lenders will have to pull mortgages for months?

Basically it’s how long is a piece of string. The issue we have is that nobody knows what is happening. The panic at the moment is being caused by uncertainty, I think next week we will have a clearer picture of what is happening, however, if it is anything like the pandemic, we could se lenders withdraw full product ranges for months

It all depends on the government and the bank of England getting things back under control. The sooner this happens the better so we can get on with business and doing the right thing for clients. The volatility if it continues will only continue to implicate swap rates which makes less wise for the smaller lenders to continue to lend. Once things stabilise we will see everyone back to lending albeit at higher cost.
