Domestic abuse data - ONS
This morning at 09:30, the Office For National Statistics is publishing the latest data on domestic abuse in England and Wales, along with a supporting report on violence against women and girls. If you deal with domestic abuse cases, and would like to potentially appear on radio or TV today to discuss this sensitive issue, please let us know. Also, please answer the following questions:
- In your experience, has domestic abuse increased or decreased over the past year?
- Have the cost of living crisis and economic uncertainty resulted in a rise in domestic abuse cases?
- Are the Government and/or Local Authorities doing enough to support people who at the victims of domestic abuse or violence in the home?
- What support channels are there for victims of domestic abuse?
Any other thoughts, please jot them down. Deadline is fairly tight, i.e. 10am. The report will be published at 09:30 on the link above so you can either comment beforehand or add your comments once you have seen the real data.
