Empowered Women Empowering Women: ‘Move The World’ Speaker Sessions – Challenging The Ordinary

We are a small female led charity focused on educating as many youth in Ghana as possible to be active global citizens. <br>Get Global, is a global citizenship education programme designed & delivered by local, trained changemakers- our facilitators. Its not your everyday classroom sit down programme, its an engaging, experiential experience that allows students and facilitators to learn alongside each other. <br>Each session students participate in various activities such as bracelet making, planting beans, mindfulness and story telling to explore themes such as poverty, hunger, health and well being and gender equality - our learning themes are the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) but our platform is an engaging, reflective and safe learning environment that opens up conversation and learning. <br>To compliment the programme each student receives a ‘Get Global Passport’ which acts a learning journal for use throughout the programme. Since our pilot in 2019, we have worked with 404 students aged 10-12 years old in schools and community settings focused on the first 6 SDG's and trained 10 facilitators. <br>We are currently creating Get Global 2.0 as a follow programme.
