I moved to the UK from India in 2005 to pursue a masters in Creative Writing in Manchester. I met my husband in 2006, and we have three young children. We now live in Brigsley, North East Lincolnshire. Having worked for a few years as a freelance journalist with various community organisations, I started Masala Masters in 2014 with a view to combine my passion for cooking with a business that could fit around the family. Over 7 years, the business has gained a loyal following. Masala Masters was chosen to be one of 100 small businesses by Small Business Saturday to be celebrated in 2018. I was also chosen as one of their 100 inspirational female entrepreneurs for 2021, and won a Sole Thriver award in 2021. I also wrote and published my first cookbook during the pandemic.
