The Mortgage Consultancy (TMC) is a specialist property finance brokerage covering bridging, development finance, commercial lending, complex buy-to-let, and the protection conversations that sit underneath them.
Founded by Peter Vandervennin over 25 years ago and now co-directed with his daughter Hannah, TMC became directly FCA-authorised in October 2025. We work with property investors, developers, and business owners on deals that turn out to be more complicated than they first looked: short-lease flats, semi-commercial buildings, auction purchases, care homes, development sites, share purchase agreements. We also support a professional introducer network of solicitors, accountants, IFAs and financial planners.
Our belief: fortune favours the brave, but brave without a plan is risky. We bring the plan.
We can comment on specialist lending market shifts, regulatory change affecting landlords and developers, auction finance, protection gaps in property portfolios, and what professional advisers should know when their clients move into property.
