Grounded MCR is a social enterprise - we sell specialty coffee, chai, teas, iced drinks, milkshakes, artisan ice cream and gluten free and/or vegan cakes from a bespoke trike. We're based in a park in Levenshulme, South Manchester and employ local, vulnerable adults whose mental health impacts their ability to work. For example, our current employees struggle to work inside and suffer with severe depression and anxiety. Our long-term goal is to rehabilitate ex-offenders, by training them as Baristas. We’ve just won a big, yellow ex-school bus and we are currently turning it into a community space, with an allotment, cafe, and quiet zone, to be housed in our local park.
