For a decade, Matthew Knight has been a passionate advocate for freelancers, their wellbeing and their rights. He believes that the self-employment are a critically under-represented and under-supported part of the workforce, and 5m people cannot go without rights, inclusive policy or supportive infrastructure.

As founder of Leapers - the award winning mental health project, he has supported over 250,000 freelancers, and his research has been quoted in parliamentary working groups, whitepapers, and used by charities, communities and employers.

As Chief Freelance Officer at Freelancing.Support - Matthew is providing impartial and independent resources, guides, tools and community for those freelancing, as well as structured programmes with a support cohort for new freelancers.
