Evren Ergin
Founder Evren Ergin spent years inside estate agencies, from training negotiators to director level, before building ValuQ to fix what he kept seeing: homeowners handing over their details for a "free" online valuation, then fielding weeks of sales calls. In April 2026 he removed the AI valuation engine from ValuQ, betting that local agents who know the street beat a national model that has never seen the house.
Evren is available for comment on the UK housing market, how homeowners choose and compare estate agents, agent fees and valuations, homeowner data and privacy in proptech, the widening gap between flats and houses, and the case against AI-generated property valuations. Based in Basildon, Essex.
