Carol Vickers

Carol has Perthes disease, hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, ADHD and a bunch of other medical conditions that make her life complicated. She's on a personal mission to help smooth the rocky, intersectional path faced by disabled women. She does this through campaigning for disability equity and inclusion, strong personal role modelling, and being noisy about diversity in general. She is a volunteer for Scope and a UK Advisor to Billion Strong. She is absolutely not ashamed to use the cuteness factor of her registered assistance dog to start conversations about how to improve the world for the 20% per cent of people who have a disability or disabling long-term health condition.
