Chairman of Choices Estate Agency
Choices Estate Agency
Since leaving University I have specialised in sales and sales management. I worked for several years in the financial services industry recruiting and training financial advisors. I started my own estate agency called Choices in 1989 and have been developing it ever since. We currently operate from conventional offiices in Surrey Sussex and South London. In the year 2000, we established our auction information and property investment service, which at the beginning of 2012 had over twenty thousand subscribers, and a database of around 200000. This makes us perhaps the largest in this growing field and a clearing house for below market value properties. I am very interested in co-operating with others in the industry to our mutual advantage. I have an interest in several other businesses. I was an EIS investor into Expert Agent the successful estate agency software company which has now been sold. More recently in 2011 I invested into Angels Media the estate agency online magazine business. I also have invested in an eclectic bar in Bermondsey called Cecil's! I wrote a horror fantasy novel called 'The Dark Lagoon' which was published in 1997, it got reviewed by Waterstones in Winchester as the most promising of its genre that year, something I still regard as one of my most satisfying achievements.
