Research conducted by Agency Squared and The Marketing Meetup into the health of relationships between marketers and their agency partners found a real lack of trust in the industry; trust that agencies will deliver on their promises and trust that clients can provide what an agency needs.&nbsp; 229 marketers responded to the survey, which found that: * 49% of clients rated how much they trusted their agencies to deliver as 6/10 or lower * 56% of agencies rated how much they trust their clients to provide what they need to deliver against the brief as 6/10 or lower The research identifies areas where client-side and agency marketers can work together to deliver more effective marketing. Clients want their agency partners to be better communicators and to understand their business and industry properly: * 64% of client-side marketers ranked clear communication as one of the factors they value the most in their relationship with agencies, * 67% ranked their agencies ‘understanding of their challenges’ as the critical factor in their ability to meet their needs Agencies want their clients to give them a better brief and read the scope of work properly: * 60% of agencies ranked their clients’ understanding of the scope of work as necessary to deliver a good service.
