Morris-dancing Chartered Financial Planner with over 30 years in personal financial services providing guidance and advice to 'normal' rather than 'high net worth' clients. Started own business in 2007/8 after having had enough of working for firms whose business ethics I didn't share. Involved in lots of local things. Spent 7+ years as a Trustee and Treasurer for the local AgeUk, former school governor. Rallied local people and businesses to supply 2nd hand laptops during lockdown so that there were enough for all GCSE students to be able to take part in virtual lessons. For past 5 years have helped mentor 6th formers in nearby schools in entrepreneur programmes run by the charity Young Enterprise. Currently a Personal Finance Society Education Champion delivering sessions to local schools & academies and am their Regional Outreach Ambassador for Kent.
