With a background in surface pattern design, Vicky Yorke started her business in 2012 after being diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia. Working from her home studio in Worcestershire, the initial model for her business was freelancing with suppliers to retail - trend forecasting and designing patterns for products / product development under private label ranges for blue chip stores. In 2016 she expanded into art licensing, creating the brand, ‘Vicky Yorke Designs’ with her warm and inviting designs. She was signed by USA agents, Jewel Branding & Licensing allowing brand exposure in the US market and worldwide. By July 2018 Vicky had successfully launched homeware and kitchenware collections and been named the winner of ‘The Really Good Design Search’ – a competition to find the most innovative new designer in the UK for greetings and gift. Many collaborations have followed in multiple product categories worldwide from fabric to luggage. Currently with more than 45 licensing partners, her brand is sold in major retailers worldwide. In 2020, Vicky launched an online store selling a mix of her UK licensed products and products handmade at her home studio.
