Rachael is  a  freelance  jewellery  journalist  and  regular  contributor  to  a  wealth  of  titles  across  the  globe,  including  The  Financial  Times, Condé Nast publications, Retail  Jeweller and Rapaport. She was the founding editor of Professional Jeweller and WatchPro magazines, launching the titles on behalf of a global publisher in 2010.  

In 2018, Rachael co-founded The Jewellery Cut. It is a platform that supports and exposes independent jewellery designers through engaging editorial, sparkling social posts and live events, including a bi-annual jewellery showcase during London Fashion Week. Since its launch, The Jewellery Cut has been named as one of the top six jewellery Instagram accounts to follow by The New York Times, has been selected to be part of the Mayor of London’s business growth scheme London & Partners, and was shortlisted for awards at both the UK Jewellery Awards and the NAJ Awards.

In 2020, it was announced that Rachael had joined the board of The Women’s Jewellery Network as creative director. In this role. she will help to shape the rapidly growing global organisation set up to promote women’s interests in the jewellery industry.  

Respected for her in-depth knowledge of the jewellery world, Rachael is a judge for many competitions, including the prestigious UK Jewellery Awards and The Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council Awards. The latter of which, she is also hosting in 2020 and 2021,  following in the footsteps of jewellery luminaries including Stephen Webster and Theo Fennell.
