Up until 5 years ago I owned and ran a fish and chip shop with my wife. It was good fun but the hours were insane. I started at 8am and if I was lucky I was home before midnight 6 days a week. I had lost my friends as they had given up on inviting me to anything social as all I could ever say was ‘I’m working’. My car (A 10 year old ford focus) permanently smelt of fish. Then my life changed very quickly and unexpectedly. I took a holiday with a friend to Vietnam (re-enacting the Top Gear adventure for anyone who has seen it!) and one morning began our motorbike ride only to get hit by a lorry. I broke 16 bones, had to have 5 surgeries and was told I would never fully recover. It was a truly dark time in my life. But what I did realise was that I didn’t want the life I had anymore. I didn’t want to work just for the sake of working and I wanted to go back to enjoying life. I needed to crack the secrets! And 3 years ago? I hired a private helicopter to celebrate my birthday, had a tour over London and then landed at a manor house for dinner before being flown home. A bit of a difference. The only thing to have changed? I had discovered the secrets of making eBay work for me! I now run multiple different top rated eBay account that turnover in excess of £1million a year – I work from anywhere with an internet connection – I have travelled internationally in 1st class, and have a completely flexible lifestyle to spend as much time as I want with my beautiful twin baby girls.
