My List of 5 uses for a plastic card With plastic cards playing a large part in our lives, we often do not appreciate the range of uses our humble plastic card is used for. Public Enemy No 1. Credit Cards.&nbsp; Like; how did we ever manage our finances without credit cards? They have certainly given us a love/hate relationship with plastic cards. We all love the ease with which they allow us to purchase and pay for goods and services. We all hate having to pay our monthly bills. Overall, I feel that credit cards are a useful tool in our bid to control our finances. Although it can be a deadly enemy for those who for whatever reason; will not or cannot settle their monthly bill in full and on time for each payment period. No 2. A little stunner: Store Cards. An attractive character; a little beauty! What a charmer to have in your wallet or purse. Looks good, whichever one you happen to aspire to. And if Black is the new Gold; it is certain to give you the street cred we all look for at certain times. However, beware this flexible fellow is no flexible friend. With all its gloss and fantastic looks, our little friend does not always tell us the truth of about our relationship. You may be able to walk into your favourite store and return sometime later with your arms full of the latest fashions or must-have goods. But you definitely need to take our card's promises, with a pinch of salt and look at its high-interest rates and terms &amp; conditions hidden somewhere in the contract's small print. With this little fellow; beauty is only skin deep, or gloss in its particular case. No 3. Points Cards&nbsp; Again another attractive beauty. With great looks and design and the magical ability to add, save, discount and give cash back at certain times. Again, the point’s card is another card with which we have a love-hate relationship. It offers so much but invariably delivers so little for our friendship. Often with returns of 0.01p for each pound, we spend. The returns are not going to allow you to retire any time soon irrespective of how much you may spend. Ok to own but do not hold great expectations.&nbsp; No 4. Access Control Cards Now, these are the real magicians of the card world; and they come in many guises and may include some or all of the following features: As previously mentioned, they have good looks and a real must-have quality. They very often have a status in their build which makes them desirable to certain individuals. We mostly think of access control cards in their role of opening doors (hotels) but that is only a small trick out of a rapidly expanding repo trade. One of the latest tricks is allowing individuals to access computer programs that are security sensitive. We can go from relatively low security in the form of a magnetic stripe on the card to reading data from, cards which have electronic circuits such as proximity cards. Then we have the daddy of them all in the way of the multifunctional smart card. It gives its owner the ability to perhaps, access areas, provides identity verification, acts as a payment token, and even provides local and national security clearance. Its report is expanding all the time. What a beauty.&nbsp; No 5. Photo ID Cards What a looker, and that’s just the individual shown on the card. As they say, a photo is worth a thousand words. Make sure you have a great photo on your ID card. Make it a card you love to wear. Not only does a great ID card give a positive, personal image boost but also a brand boost to your company. Do not undersell your business with a poor staff ID card.&nbsp; &nbsp;<blockquote>We all use plastic cards as part of our daily lives, although times are changing and many features of using a plastic card are now being incorporated into your Smart Phone. That said that little bit of plastic will be useful for many years yet!</blockquote>
