A Scottish based online fabric store, Rosemary Wild, is finding sales for March and April are not as strong as through the lockdown in which she started her business.&nbsp; Rosie, the store’s owner, says ’life has become much more exciting for people now that they can get out and about after lockdown. I have some lovely regular customers who have either continued their love for crafting and sewing or have a newly discovered love for it through lockdown and they are continuing to buy on a regular basis’. However there comes a fine line with hobby spending and cost of living spending and so fabric sales have reduced through March as people reduce their hobby spending to spend on essential living costs.&nbsp; At the same time, Rosie recognises that many of her customers are solo craftpreneurs who make their products from fabric and rely on their business income to maintain their standard of living. Therefore the cost of living crisis is a double whammy to their business income as raw material prices increase too. She is offering her craftpreneur customers a generous ongoing trade discount off her fabrics in a bid to help them reduce their raw goods costs. Rosie is hoping that a revamp of her physical stall in North Berwick will counteract the slowdown of online sales through the summer as people go on staycations and support the local tourist economies.&nbsp; &nbsp;<blockquote>Small crafting businesses are finding it more difficult to sustain their business income due to their customers spending less on non-essential items due to the increases in cost of living. &nbsp;I hope my new 25% discount for solo craftpreneurs will help them ease their raw material costs. &nbsp;I am also hoping my slower online sales will be offset against my revamped bricks and mortar space in North Berwick.&nbsp;</blockquote>
