Video Short Tips 12th Feb at midday

With video live on the Newspage mobile app (iOS) and coming soon on Android, we’re keen to get more of you adding video responses to News Alerts. Journalists are already embedding our shorts into their stories and are increasingly demanding them as video is how many people prefer to consume their news. To this end, podcast and broadcast supremos Riz Malik (on Sky News yesterday talking interest rates) and Andrew Montlake (does 15 podcasts before his daily three Shredded Wheat) are running a session on Wednesday 12th February at midday to give you practical tips to record shorts that are punchy, professional and hit the media spot. They’ll also talk you through the equipment you need to reduce background noise and, if you’re walking or recording on a rollercoaster, how to remove the jitters.
