The iPaper - How to afford a pet in a cost of living crisis?

A journalist at the iPaper is writing a piece on how to keep pets in prime health and happiness, without breaking the bank. 

They are keen to hear about related data/commentary - from the pros and cons of pet insurance to how to manage chronic health conditions in pets (ie feline diabetes) without bankrupting yourself, to affordable pet food for fussy pets.
