The financial implications of a child quitting university
I am writing a piece for the Daily Telegraph on the financial implications of a child dropping out of university
I am seeking comments for a Daily Telegraph article on the financial implications of a child dropping out of university.
I am specifically seeking comments on the points below:
What does dropping out mean for tuition fee loans and maintenance loans?
Is there a cut-off point for when you'll still have to pay?
Could you be on the hook for the full year?
Can fees be transferred if the child is just switching universities?
I am also looking for a financial planning perspective on if parents are footing the bill, can they get a refund from a university? If not, should they ask the child to get a job and repay you?
If parents have specifically saved a fund for university education - should they simply never hand the money over, or switch to a different incentive?
Many thanks, Marc
