Talking heads for radio and TV money stories
Newspage gets a phenomenal amount of financial and money-related media coverage in print and online. But over the years we've also had loads of you on radio and TV, from Sky News and the BBC to GB News and ITV.
We're now doing a concerted push to get the same level of exposure for Newspagers across broadcast as we do print and online. And there are endless money stories, from mortgages, property, markets and pensions, to tax, interest rates, inflation and the Pound.
To start with, on Friday we're sending all UK producers a list of Newspagers in FS who are willing to do money-related broadcast slots, along with their areas of expertise and location (which we know from your Newspages). To be on the list, as broadcast is a different beast and needs more focused activity, there's a one-off fee of £25+VAT.
Once you've made the payment >> here <<, a ‘broadcastfs’ tag will be added to your Newspage. This will be used by producers when requesting interviewees for whatever money story it is they're covering, and by us when we're putting forward relevant spokespeople when stories break.
We'll also use the ‘broadcastfs’ tag to regularly seek money ideas that you think radio and TV stations should be covering. And if you think you've got a money story now that would be a good and topical talking point, feel free to respond to this alert.
