Sky News - Interview retailers on impact of latest strikes

ended 09. May 2023

Sky News would like to interview retailers tomorrow on the impact of strikes to their business

The interview would be pre-recorded and Sky would send a camera to your business. Ideally, they'd like to do this interview tomorrow. It should take no longer than 30 minutes. The interview would take 5 – 10 minutes and they would then film general shots of the business.

Our company has experienced firsthand the challenges brought about by such disruptions, and we believe that our perspective would be valuable.

As an ecommerce business, we have faced significant obstacles due to the Royal Mail strikes, which have caused delays and inconsistencies in our ability to deliver products to our customers. This disruption not only affected our bottom line but also put a strain on our customer relationships, as we had to navigate through the resulting frustration and disappointment.

Furthermore, the upcoming rail strikes are set to have a direct impact on our operations. We have been diligently working towards the 'Gift of the Year' awards this week, and the rail strikes threaten our ability to attend this prestigious event at which we are up for 2 awards. The rail strikes will also hinder our ability to travel to essential business meetings across the country. As a company that relies heavily on face-to-face interactions, this can be incredibly damaging.
