Newspage-verified badge: what's changing next week

until end

Fake experts in the media are a real and growing problem, and removing them is now a priority for publishers. Ahead of our platform relaunch this month, Newspage is making sure we're part of the solution.

From next week we'll be rolling out a Newspage-verified badge. It will start appearing on Newspages and above News Alert responses — and it will be central to the new platform when it launches.

Many of you will receive it automatically. We've worked with thousands of you over the years and have done our own checks, so if we already know you're who you say you are, there's nothing to do.

If you haven't been verified, when you respond to a News Alert after go-live you'll get an email inviting you to book a free 5-minute video call. Once that's done, you're verified — for good.

Until then, your responses won't be used by our news team, and journalists will be able to see which experts are verified.

Verification is free and always will be — it can't be bought at any tier. You don't need to do anything now. Simply respond to an alert when one comes in, and we'll take it from there.
