Mortgage brokers - how many outstanding Help to Buy cases do you have?
Morning gang
Last week the Government extended the completion deadline for the Help to Buy scheme by almost two months, taking it to mid-March. https://www.mortgagesolutions.co.uk/news/2023/01/27/help-to-buy-housebuilder-completion-deadline-extended-by-over-a-month/
It would be great to get your thoughts on the following:
- How many Help to Buy cases do you still have yet to complete? How confident are you about those cases beating the new deadline?
- Was this the best way for the Government to withdraw the Help to Buy scheme?
- How are you advising clients today who 6-12 months ago might have been a good fit for the Help to Buy scheme? What are the low-deposit options like today?
Any and all thoughts on this one are very welcome!
Thank you
