The grass is not always greener, and this return risks looking less like a royal reset and more like a reality check. Harry and Meghan built a brand around freedom, reinvention and the American dream, but public interest in that story has cooled. Britain still gives them relevance, history and a level of cultural protection California cannot. From a PR point of view, they need to look gracious, useful and uncomplaining. If they come back as bridge-builders, it could soften their image. If it feels like another chapter in the grievance tour, the public will see straight through it.
