Meet Justin. He’s a Newspage Contributing Editor
Over the weekend, Newspage will be launching a new subscription tier — Contributing Editor — so that you, too, can be like goalkeeping ace, Justin (pictured). More on him shortly.

We’ve onboarded quite a few Contributing Editors in recent weeks and the results are already flowing in. As well as being able to respond to News Alerts, as a Contributing Editor you’ll be able to create them yourself when you think you have a story the media need to write about.
In return for your efforts in identifying a story and creating the News Alert (we’ll teach you how to do that), we’re happy for you to pin your comment to the top.
And relax: you don’t need to be a brilliant writer to be a Contributing Editor, as our news team are on hand to edit your copy and provide real-time support via our Newspage Editors WhatsApp group.
Once views from other experts on the platform come in, our team will editorialise the story and issue it to all relevant media — whether local, trade or national. And because your comment will be pinned, you’ll be in pole position on the media starting grid.
A tall chap in Chelmsford called Justin Moy (who over-uses goalkeeper glove emojis on WhatsApp and once dreamed of being a bank manager) is a Contributing Editor on Newspage — and the amount of media exposure he gets is frankly disgusting.
When Justin sees a story, usually a mortgage one, he pours himself a neat desk whisky like some kind of modern-day JR Ewing, creates an alert and bosh, he’s in the media about 10 minutes later. With his comment right at the top.
We want more of you to be like Justin (although fewer glove emojis, please).
The Newspage Contributing Editor subscription tier will cost £299.99+VAT PCM as it’s significantly more interactive than Platinum — but if you want in before then, we’re still charging a one-off fee of £300+VAT. Then you’re set for life.
Oh, and if you start generating alerts that are regularly published by the media, the fee will also cover the cost of an official press card (three of our Platinum subscribers already have them). Newspage is an accredited news agency so you’ll effectively become a member of the press — under our umbrella.
Lastly, we’re aware that you’re all business owners with lots going on so there are no requirements to do a certain amount of alerts each day or week. Just do them when you are able to — or want to. And we're on hand to help when you do.
If you’d like to become a Contributing Editor and save a few quid before the new subscription tier goes live, just reply to this News Alert. Even if you mutter something offensive, it’s not a biggie, we’ve got thick skin.
We’ll then invite you to the Newspage Editors group and get you trained up and teach you all the tricks of the media trade. Tomorrow we’ll be doing on-demand training most of the day but we can always do a slot whenever works for you.
The mediascape is changing and experts, via Newspage, are becoming journalists — at scale. This is your chance to be part of that change.
