Live Q&A with a former Sun editor
From Monday, Newspage has a new hire — an editor joining us from The Sun. As he’s fresh outta Fleet Street, we’re running a series of sessions over the next fortnight where you can tap him for intel and ask any questions you like.
Each session will start with a short overview of the current media landscape, specifically the challenges facing the news media and the opportunities this creates for business and charity owners on Newspage.
It will also offer an insight into how journalists think in 2025, how national newspaper editors choose stories to publish, the structure of the modern newsroom and the way mainstream and social media are increasingly converging (and how you can leverage that).
We’ll then hand the mic to you to fire away with your questions, whatever they may be — from SEO and backlinks to whether you can use media logos on your website and even media law (translate: how to say something in a way that will NOT get you sued).
Equally, if you’ve got a story in your head, pitch away and get instant feedback from someone who’s been pitched to for the past 10 years.
The Fresh from Fleet Street sessions will run at midday on Friday 13th, Monday 16th, Wednesday 18th and Friday 20th June. Newspage’s founder, Dominic Hiatt, will also be on the call to share insights of his own (he does have a few) and to answer questions about how best to use Newspage.
The sessions, which cost £49, will last an hour and be limited to 15 Newspagers to ensure everyone gets some airtime. If there are plenty of questions, we’ll let it run on until everyone's done. Our goal is to give you insights and intel you'd simply not get elsewhere.
