Launching the Newspage Mortgage Index
We're launching the Newspage Mortgage Index – a brand-new monthly snapshot of what's really happening in the UK mortgage market, based on the experiences of brokers working with homebuyers every day.
The Newspage Mortgage Index will capture what's happening right now through the eyes of practising brokers in the trenches, not the usual corporate lens.
Each month we'll survey mortgage brokers to measure buyer demand, lender appetite, affordability, first-time buyer activity and overall market confidence, creating a unique picture of the health of the market.
The first survey will be sent out tomorrow, will take just a minute or so to complete, and the first Newspage Mortgage Index story will be published on Friday.
All brokers on Newspage are free to respond to the survey but if you’d like to feature in the accompanying national and local stories that will run at the end of each month moving forward, the cost to join the editorial panel is a one-off £50+VAT payable >> here <<.
As well as being sent to national media, we'll produce regional versions of the story, featuring comments from brokers in their local area.
That means participants won't just help shape the national picture – they'll also have the opportunity to appear in coverage across local newspapers, websites and broadcasters.
By joining the panel, you'll help create what we hope becomes one of the mortgage industry's most respected monthly indicators, a true barometer of mortgage activity, while increasing your chances of regular media coverage at both a national and local level.
Once paid, an #NMI tag will be added to your Newspage and look out for the first survey and News Alert in your inbox tomorrow. It only takes a few minutes, but your insight could help shape the biggest mortgage story of the month, each month.
