Inflation rises - effect on the property market

ended 22. March 2023

Inflation rose by 10.4% in the 12 months to February 2023, up from 10.1% in January, it was announced a few minutes ago. What impact could this have on the property market, and why? Could it see the Bank of England hike rates again tomorrow, putting further pressure on borrowers and reducing demand? Any other thoughts, jot them down and we’ll do our best to get them in the media today.

Lets face it, the BOE MPC is so far out of touch from the public. They have screwed the hard working public over so many times this year, they have made Love Island look like a tepid episode of Cilla Blacks Blind Date.

There's almost a certainty in the air that we will see yet again another increase in the base rate, after which, the members of that committee will get chauffered home to their multi-million pound mansions whilst Alfred the Butler gets their dinner ready and Mary Poppins tuck their kids into bed.
