I am not an oncologist but as a GP see pts with all sorts of cancers and certainly during and post lockdown I have seen a massive wait and now hugh backlog of pts waiting to (a) see their GP with worrying symptoms and (b) get referred on to secondary care once they have seen their GP Just last week I visited an 84 yr old man who had lost 19kg in 6 months and had an abdominal mass on examination. I have referred him for an urgent scan and am awaiting the results
