Getting blood pressure checked has prompted me to make some major lifestyle changes

Lovely Newspagers,

I'm working on a story about about cardio-vascular diseases for The Times -

(This is a tie-up with the Government as part of an awareness-raising campaign urging get people to get their blood pressure checked).

I'm looking for several case studies for the Times. I'd need a quick chat, and they'd need to be willing to email one or two photos to appear in print alongside the article

This is what I'm looking for :

- someone who thought they were fit and healthy, but when they had their blood pressure taken they realised they had a more serious underlying cardiovascular condition

- someone who has taken big steps to turn their life around after getting their blood pressure checked and realising they had a serious condition

Can give businesses or charities etc a good mention

Please contact me on esthershaw79@gmail.com

Kind regards,

I had a good diet, I exercised daily and I had given up smoking. I then went to get my eyes tested and the option asked if I had been stressed recently, he could see the result of this stress in tiny blood vessels in my eyes. I went to the doctors and my blood pressure was very high. After delegating some tasks at work and reducing the amount of alcohol I drank I got my revised results 2 months later and the pressure was within normal range. Not just that, but I genuinely felt better with more energy and focus.
